Operational Meeting for China Resources Satellite Application System Held in Guangzhou

Organized by China Center for Resource Satellite Data and Applications (CRESDA), the 2009 Operational Meeting for China Resources Satellite Application System convened in Guangzhou during June 11-12, 2010. A CEODE delegation led by the Associate Director Li An attended the conference.

The performance of the Earth Resources Satellite CBERS-02B—China's first civilian high-resolution imaging satellite—was summarized in such aspects as data reception, processing, application and monitoring.

CEODE representative gave a detailed report on the Center's satellite acquisition in 2009, CBERS-02B in particular, regarding to the data volume, success rate in reception, problem solutions, receiving equipment and its operating status. It is remarkable that the Miyun Ground Station of CEODE has ranked as the top station that acquired 99.7% CBERS-02B data.

In the concluding remark, Prof. Li An highly approved of the achievements CBERS-02B had obtained in the domestic and global applications and called for extensive cooperation with CRESDA on the construction of China's space infrastructures and the development of National Earth Observation technologies.
