On 13 March, CAS Vice-Secretary-General WU Jianguo visited the Beijing Advanced Technology Facility of CAS.

Accompanied by CEODE leader WANG Xiaoming, WU listened to status reports on CEODE and three other institutes, including their progress in developing the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan” and logistic support projects.

WU pointed out that CAS was planning and carrying out related work in logistic support aimed at providing firm life assistance for researchers. WU also affirmed the institutes on the successful construction of the Beijing Advanced Technology Facility of CAS. WU stated that the relevant institutes in this facility should unify their planning, construction, management and resource sharing efforts to foster a more sustainable environment.

During his visit to CEODE, WU viewed the remote sensing satellite operation and management system and watched videos on the Digital Earth Science Platform and Miyun Ground Station's real-time operations.

WU also visited the cafeteria and graduate student dormitories. After listening to WANG Xiaoming’s working report, WU acknowledged CEODE’s achievements in meeting major national needs and implementing national tasks.

The Director of the CAS Bureau of Capital Construction, KONG Fanwen, Deputy Director of the CAS Bureau of General Affairs, LIAO Fangyu, and other administrators were also present and gave addresses in the meeting.
