On November 19 of 2009, the Center of Earth Observation and Digital Earth of Chinese Academy of Science (hereafter referred to as CEODE) held the expert review meeting for 3 Building&Implementation Plans, namely RS satellite data acceptance system, data product processing, validation platform building and system integration and RS data query and service System, undertaken by CEODE. The 3 sub-systems belong to the Major Equipment R&D and Satellite Data Acceptance and Processing Validation Platform Building project by RS Satellite Application  National Engineering Lab. The meeting was presided by research-fellow Liu Jianbo, vice-director of CEODE.

The panel are composed of research-fellow Zeng Lan from Academy of Macroeconomic Research of National Development and Reform Commission, and other other experts from CEODE. Research-fellow Liu Dingsheng from CEODE acted as the expert panel leader. The experts listened seriously to the reports by principals of the 3 sub-systems, and made deep technical exchanges and discussions with project members on the report contents. The experts unanimous agreed that the 3 sub-systems have clear objective and advanced and feasible technical line satisfying expected technical indicators set during the building of national engineering lab,  and  passed the expert review.

During the meeting, experts put forward several constructive comments and suggestions as to the building target, contents and system interface relationship etc, and further discussed with project members about the possible development trend and orientation. The experts hoped all 3 sub-systems can be further integrated on the basis of strengthening platform building and technological innovation, thus providing system products with our own intellectual property rights on intergrated RS satellite acceptance, processing, distribution and service. These suggestions are of great significance to the improvement of implementation plans, project implementation and future lab development.
