On 30 May, Astrium Geo-Information Services CEO Patrick Le Roch, accompanied by Beijing Spot Image Director Hugues Pavie, paid a visit to CEODE.

They first watched videos on the Digital Earth Science Platform and visited the satellite ground control hall to see the operation and control system of the ground station network. Le Roch and other representatives also visited the international organizations hosted by CEODE and held a meeting with CEODE representatives.

During the meeting, CEODE Director-General GUO Huadong expressed that cooperation between their respective organizations was of great significance. CEODE Deputy Director LIU Jianbo gave an introduction to CEODE, the operation of national scientific and technological infrastructure, and current progress in science, research, and international cooperation. Both parties agreed that there would be more space for collaboration in the fields of satellite image receiving and processing with the development of geographic information technology and Earth observation capacity.
