Remote Sensing Relief was Awarded by Science Daily the Domestic Top Ten Science News in 2008

Organized by Science Daily, and jointly elected by academicians from both the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE), central units from the press, as well as readers of Science Daily, the results of a public appraisal activities, namely, '2008 Top Ten Domestic Science News' was announced on Dec. 29. According to the declaration of poll, the news about scientific and technological teams providing strong support for the relief operation of Wenchuan earthquake disaster, “CAS Working Group of Remote Sensing Monitoring and Situation Assessment for Wenchuan Earthquake” in particular, was ranked the second place of the top ten news.
