Under the auspices of CEODE, a symposium on application of high-resolution radar satellite remote sensing technology was held from 9 to 11 April in Yangzhou of east China’s Jiangsu Province, attracting nearly 200 participants from various organizations, including the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Land and Resources and the China Land Surveying and Planning Institute.

At the meeting, experts were invited to give talks on basic principles of the radar technology, and applications of InSAR and high-resolution SAR in the monitoring of territories, disasters and surface subsidence. Technicians from the CEODE Section for Customer Service also held talks with users so as to make clear their demand and suggestions and create a domestic market for RADARDAT-2 Satellite data.

The meeting was regarded as a valuable opportunity for making an in-depth understanding of the CEODE’s capacity in high-quality data service.
