On 22 November, the Deputy-Director of the National Administration of Surveying, Mapping and Geoinformation, LI Pengde, visited the Center for Earth Observation and Digital Earth (CEODE) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). CEODE Director GUO Huadong warmly welcomed him and his colleagues and CEODE Deputy Director LIU Jianbo gave a brief introduction to CEODE, highlighting the progress on construction of the ground system for the ZY3 satellite.

LI Pengde spoke highly of CEODE’s achievements, particularly the strong technical support for remote sensing data for national surveying and mapping departments at all levels. He pointed out that CEODE’s leaders and researchers efficiently completed preparations for the construction of the ZY3 satellite ground system. As the New Year approaches, he extends season’s greetings to CEODE personnel, especially those who participated in the ZY3 satellite data reception work. 

Accompanied by CEODE Director GUO Huadong, LI Pengde visited the satellite operation and control system.

Also in attendance were ZHANG Yanping, Director of the Department of Science, Technology and International Cooperation and other related officials, along with members of CEODE’s administration.
